I tried searching but found nothing on timber stitching.
I have a few bowls that could use this, so I'm looking for a little know how on the subject of how to !!

It's more to add strength to a split by inserting a small piece of timber across the split
Either the same species or contrasting . I'll try and find a pic I saw

You mean timber keys?

Lacing looks better .
Butterfly keys look like joinery , waiting to be laminated .
