Can anyone tell me more about Prickly Ash (Orites excelsa)?
What has it been used for historically - nowadays?
Is it used by many people?
Thanks

G'day wood60
I came across a reference to Orites excelsa when reading some old texts the other night. Here (http://setis.library.usyd.edu.au/pubotbin/toccer-new?id=mai.p00108v1.sgml&images=acdp/gifs&data=/usr/ot&tag=botany&part=1&division=div1) is the link to that info, just a little bit. Scroll down to the Timber heading and the reference begins with "Now that Grevillea robusta is getting scarce, I would like to draw public attention to what I believe to be a perfect substitute for it."... It's from a 1904 text.

Cheers
Michael
