Hi y'all,
went to the show Friday, totally mesmerised by all the special tools and demo's.
Looked around for minilathes but couldn't spot any:(, but bumped a guy who was also looking for small lathes. He said he'd been looking for ages and after lots of research decided he'd probably buy one off the internet. He had used a C2 and was very impressed especially with the special 4 jaw timber chuck so I'm leaning in that direction. Picked up a great book called "Antique cars and trucks you can make" by Luc St-Amour, very similar vehicles to toysnjoys, all plans and directions there to make them, I'll be substituting the spoked wheels with fatter type stuff to make them into hot rods, maybe lower the body and roof line also. The book was bought from the Skills Publishing stand, heaps of good stuff there.
Anyhoo, hope you enjoy it if you get there.
cheers, billy:U
