HUON 21st June 2009, 06:43 PM Is it still possible to get White Beech in long lengths,4 to 6 mt lengths. I'm talking about Australian White Beech, not the stuff from the Islands.
Greg Ward 21st June 2009, 07:58 PM Mal from Boutique has a log and can cut to size. White beech has little shrinkage and can be used wet......tel 416 097 827

HUON 23rd June 2009, 09:06 PM Thanks lads, I'll chase up those leads asap. The reason I'm searching for this timber is to use it as a boat decking, so far white beech and celery top are the stand outs as far as native timbers are concerned. I stand to be corrected and look forward to strident and rigorous corrections.Cheers .

John Hodgson - (02) 6657 3219 - call at night is best.
You might find that White Beech is pretty expensive but John can supply plenty of it - dry, or probably green
