To Enfield Guy - he came and took away a heap of timber that I had been given that was too large for my little lathe, and the other day he returned with it all beautifully cut up. Then he took away the mango, and I'm sure he will create some beautiful usable blanks with that too. As it has burl on it we discussed it and he is going to cut some bowl blanks as well as pen blanks (and hairstick blanks for me).
And he also gave me a coat to keep clean when I'm working!
He also showed me some spinning tops, and thanks to actually seeing them in life, I'm now turning tops! I'm surprised how quick they are, so I'll have tops for the little boys who are dragged through the market with their mums on Saturday!
It's great to be on a forum like this and met such wonderful people.
