View Full Version : Japanese Chisels

I can't stand it any longer, I have to get myself a set of quality chisels. After doing my research I have come to the conclusion that Japanese Butt chisels are the way to go (for me anyway).

Looking at the catalogues of the usual Australian suppliers (Carbatec, Mik etc.) depresses me with the high prices compared with the cost of sourcing directly from overseas.

One brand which appeals is:

They seem to have the right qualifications: Laminated, White steel and hooped handles and they are surprisingly cheap :) .

Does anyone have experience with these chisels ?

Another source (Australian) is:

and O/S:

Views and/or pointers to other sources eagerly sought.

Regards,
