Sometimes I love it to do segmented turnings.
But now the first try to reach a higher level with making a segmented platter with a star inlay. Still it's a simple try, you have to start with something simple, just for getting the right taste.
The star and the ring around the star as well as the rim is made of Merbau, and the other segmented rings of yellow pine.
The next segmented turning will be more complicated, anyway if I'm in the right mood.
But first, I have my travel papers for good old England, we leave the 6th of july and are back the 15th.
Cheers. Ad
