Hi All,

I've recently restored some old 60's kichen cabinets. The woodworking part was a breeze: sand and paint, but I'm having trouble sourcing original-style handles and hinges. I've been searching internet sites for weeks and not finding anything vaguely resembling what I'm after. Can anyone let me know of some sites or shops that sell reproduction or second-hand retro-style fittings? At the moment I'm after brass or chrome fluted pull handles 128mm and 95mm (or whatever it is), and shell hinges mounted on the exterior with rebated into the frame. I'm always looking for this sort of stuff and living in the country doesn't help!

Another is
Traditional Hardware. Link: http://www.tradco.com.au/wwwthc/
But a retailer will need to be found.

What is the condition of the original hardware?
Try stripping the paint off by soaking in a caustic dip. (easily mixed, but USE CAUTION)
They will come up very well.
