Well I wanted a Kreg Right Angle Clamp (http://www.carbatec.com.au/joinery/pocket-hole-jigs/pocket-hole-jig-accessories/kreg-face-frame-clamps/kreg-right-angle-clamp) . . . No stock, it'll be a couple of weeks till we have one

And I wanted a Vermec Chuck Drive Dog (http://vermec.tripod.com/PDFs/chuckdrivedog.pdf) for nova, which is now off the website . . . the answer was less then optimistic, dunno if we will get one in,

So in future I'll ring them before wandering out to Auburn to get something or purchase stuff from other stores.

I always ring, and not just when I go to carbatec. I hate the stock not being in.

Well when I go to Carba tec it normally is to purchase one item and end up purchasing a few items.

I must be one lucky fellow. Or is it Carba Tec is lucky to get my business? :D

This must be the whingers thread. :~

Some of you blokes are a bit precious if you think Carba-Tec, or anyone else these days, has just the item you want, especially slow moving, expensive stuff.

Soulspirit's got it right - whats' wrong with a simple phone call first?

I usually try Carba-tec as a last resort. Usually find the product I am looking for elsewhere and cheaper. To be fair, I guess it is difficult to carry every single item in stock all the time but it is disappointing when you are all fired up to buy something you have been saving up to get and when you finally get there, they dont have it in stock. :(

"Not much call for those around here, sir"
"But its the single most popular tool in the history of woodworking"
"Not round here, sir"

(with apologies to Monty Python and the Cheese Shop sketch...) :D
