Bead Making - Mass Production?
Hi guys, lou here, im looking for some information on how to create perfect / mass produced wooden beads. What sort of machines would contemplate this sort of delicate work with minimal wastage?
I understand that timber can be carved with a beading chisel one by one, but that is too time consuming and labour intensive. Does anybody know about cold laser technology and if it is used in fine timber crafts? Anything about wooden beads or beadmaking would be welcomed. lou

straight timber?
Do you need dead straight timber to put it through a moulding machine and what about computer aided technological advances. Anything new?

For beads near enough would probably be good enough though there will be tolerances.
Dunno about the cnc but the mechanical moulders are real fast.
Maybe the biggest advantage with CNC will be the time taken to change setups
