something new to carve
ok people im one of them people who picks up wood and just carves it
now being from nz i know hhow the nz woods carve but now here in aus trying to find a nice soft wood
i mean over carving MDF
and the odd stop sign from time to time
(plz do not ask)
so can anyone help??DANGER!!!!I'm Dyslexic Spelling may offend!!!!!

Camphor is softer than hoop pine, which has a tendency to pull away under the chisel at times, Very sharp chisels are necessary. Fresh hardwoods are as user friendly as some of the drier soft woods imo. Casurina is abundant and fairly soft too.

Huon pine is the way im thinking
or jalutong just the size im after is going to be the prob
i wana cavre a set of hands
did a drawing for someone called igod
of a set of hands holding a ipod
