I channelled the ghost of Vivaldi and he said:

    Viola da gamba?

    Hi Kamberge

Beautiful carvings! I'm still expecting the wrens to chirp and fly away, the Ten Pointer to charge and water to flow from the Lady's water jug!

    Cheers

My boyfriend does carvings of mushrooms of different sizes....don't really have any pictures to post right now, but I enjoy watching him do the wonderful woodworking that he does. His father also carves little roosters out of the crotches of two birch branches.

Hi all, I'm a newbie to both carving and this forum. Firstly I just wanted to say how talented you all are. Secondly was wondering if someone could help in how to post a new thread rather than reply to one.

    Default Hi All from Canada

Hello, new to this forum & some pretty awesome carving you are doing down under I must say! The 1st is a carving I did a few years ago for an old friend that passed away & he was an accomplished musician, taught for many years & was an active orchestra conductor as well. It is called "Symphony" & has always been one of my favourites. Created from one piece of Black Walnut with the support for the gran piano lid & the baton handle & extended piece being added only. The 2nd is another from Black Walnut & is named "The Calling". The 3rd image is a carving I did in a competition last year in Campbell River, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada & is called "Aquatic Dreams". It is carved from Douglas Fir. I will figure out how to add more views of the last one but I think I am allowed 5 images per post here?
    Hope you enjoy!
    Thanks, Robbin
