They (carving vice) are on special at Carbatec Perth for $89, not sure if it is the same where you are so if you paid ful price ask for your money back. Then buy another for $89, at least that will help heal your pain

Not sure NZ, but think if the vice broke after only 90 mins work, you'd be entitled to full refund or replacement-whichever you choose. If it can't 'do the job' it's intended for, it's not any good for you. Good luck.

Got to go with Underfoot, bought a set of Super Jaws the other day for carving rocking horses best 200 bucks i've spent for a long time....bit hard to find now since Triton slipped off the rails, so if you see a set grab 'em
Take the vice back to i have had not problems with refunds from them, as long as you can show proof of purchase.
Hey has your roll arrives yet??
Cheers

Hi NZ_ carver,
If you are after a similar style of vice to that one there is a really good veritas one! They are solid and well made and I was using mine with an adaptor I made to take my lathe chucks and work, so it had a lot of weight on it. I am trying to get my hands on a Kelton one at the moment though.
Cheers
