    Default Unfinished carvings - Adelaide

    I wish to start by saying that I have nothing to do with the business and I don't wish to get any of the unfinished carvings as I already have far too many in my own shed that I'll probably end up giving away.

    Mountain River Timber at Thebarton have a truck load of mostly Mahogany carved pieces in various stages of completion. This may be of interest to someone who doesn't want to do all the work, but doesn't mind a little woodwork and sanding. The owner couldn't give me a price for a footstool I showed a bit of interest in, but I suggest that the quantity they are storing means that they may well negotiate. He said it would be cheap, but I don't know what that means, given the prices of some of their timber.

    you would presume its all imported from Asia, imagine the fumigation hassles. Ive looked at their timber prices and walked out feeling very light headed at the prices they were asking.

    Wasnt there some comment here awhile back about who they were and where from?
    I would love to grow my own food, but I can not find bacon seeds

    This lot is evidently from an Adelaide company who were supplying Norman, Turner and Nottage at the time NT&N closed their doors overnight. Some of it was machine carved and the machines are in the same storage section as the carvings.
    I, too, was light headed for the same reason as you.
