Completely New, Lots of Questions
I have been an artist for a while and I am looking to personalize a chair I have. I dont know any of the terms on here or I would Have put this in a more specific place. anyway I have a few questions that I could really use some help with.
1.) My chair, i need to carve into it, not carve any chunks off of it more like carve, vines, fire, etc... so i need a way to make lines, I was thinking a dremel might be the best way to go about this, if it is what kind should i get and what tool/attachemtn kit should i get? If a dremel is not the best way what else do you guys suggest?
2.) after that I have been thinking about coloring. I was thinking I could do the shading with a blowtorch/map gas whatever just some kind of fire OR I could use some sort of ink to color it to give it more of a transparent look. The reason I am thinking this is because I dont know if stains come in all of these colors . If i do put stain over ink will it run? bleed?
any ideas you could offer me in coloring/carving would be greatly appreciated, looking forward to being here and already looked at the picture very beautiful intricate stuff (hopefully i can learn all the lingo)
Thanks Alot
