    Default Dog and Pony

This is the first time I have tried to replicate a picture. This is My sisters horse and dog. The two of them were great friends. I got a great deal of help from Books by Ian Newbury. The carving is basswood.

See? You can bring it off.
I'll bet that you spent at least 1/2 the time plotting, scheming and planning.
Speaking of which, did you consider some stain for contrast?

Your guess would right. At least 1/2 the time. I considered using a stain but the basswood board I used was glue up. The contrast between the two brads would have much more notable than it is.

It looks nice ! I like the contrast between the horse and the dog's fur.
