Default out of 10 maybe a lazy 3 and a bit

had a little play in the shed today this one is going in the garden
carved this one doing no drawings or any idea of what it was going to look like l just grabbed a piece of wood from the back and just chipped away until finshed
l think l like carveing this way sometimes, no worries just let it happen
when l started carveing wood spirits thats the way l did them

does anybody else get a sore shoulder from carveing to much l seem to be holding my right elbow locked to my side
smile and the world will smile with you

Very nice, Arty. Given that you can get a good face, which is the most difficult part, why not trying classical sculpture? Maybe less satisfying for your creative urge but appealing to a wide range of people (buyers?). Wish I were that good.

know what you mean arty, they can be tricky
I have a few face models lying around the shed for reference
they include plaster mouth casts (from art supply shops) to
plastic dolls and ceramic figurines that I've picked up at the tip.
even those junky little figures you get in those $2 shops can
    be really handy,

    To both Arty and undy,

Great work. I love to see how different people show their talent in the carving of the human face. Brillant.

I clicked in to ask a question ,and saw this thread, so glad that I looked.

Will ask my question in a new thread.

    regards
    Terry
