Exotic wood supliers for sculpturing
We are trying to source a supplier of the following specific types of wood:
- Lignum Vitae (“wood of life”) also called Iron Mahogany or Iron Wood;
- Walnut (preferably French);
- Rosewood (preferably Brazilian);
- Pearwood also called Pear Tree (preferably from France or Germany); and
- Ebony (preferably African Gaboon Ebony - also called Black Ebony, Clabar, Gabun or Lagos).
Could anyone advise where we might be able to get any of the above?
Thanks in advance…
John

Mathews Timbers in St Marys for some of them.
Lignum Vitae is now on the endangered list, so it will be very difficult to source.
