You're right about it going all over the place 'thematically', but I think that lends to its mystique. Its on of those pieces on which people can spend ages trying to find a common thread amoungst its diverse elements. (Especially if there doesn't happen to be one!). Personally I think it would be a mistake to cut it up. Its a great entertainment to the eye and mind as it is.

Thanks for the kind remarks, I was expecting more dubiousness. The other idea I had was to fit a base into the bottom, chase some tiny coloured LED lights lights through it, and make it a crystal keep for my daughter, who loves hunting the creeks for them (the recent heavy rain should have churned up a few).

Its White beech BTW, immunized over fifty years ago, and stored dry since then.

I think I'll rename it: 2011: A Soul odyssey.

That is world class. The real beauty is it is made of what the Yanks called Found Wood. You have to use what you are given.

It is truly inspiring. The best I can do is to make a little Leprechaun for St Pat's day.

Thanks. We found this bit of wood at the waterhole yesterday. It still needs a bit of work. The rains have thrown up all sorts of things.
