Flexcut User Related Question
New to carving and this forum, luckly for me, there is a local club and last night there was a question asked with no one having an answer, so I am going to post it here:
1.The flexcut palm handled tools, can the wooden handle be removed and then will the blade/gouge fit into one of the sk series interchangeable handles...
2. Are the handles glued into the wooden handles?
thanks Dennis

Can't imagine why you'd want to do that, I've done the other way around - carved handles for SK chisels and epoxied them on. They are probably all the same chisel tang shape anyway.
May be easier to email Flexcut the question.Traba non folis arborem aestima

seems like a good reason
I think there reasoning is that they carry a large work box with all of these flexcut gouges in it, and if they could remove the wooden handle they would have all the gouges at there disposal but far less space and weight....I have a few of the sk series, but not sure if the fixed handle has the same tang and would fit and hold in the sk handle....Dennis

why not just make wooden covers for the blades...personalize them, I have all mine chip carved.... just an idea or in the case of gouges, I use the clear tubing....nothing gets damaged either way and I don't get cut!!
