Thankyou Eugene, very skillful work. Limewood seems to be well suited to that kind of work, can you tell me more about wax mastic?

    Smile

    Dear friends.
Thanks for hearty welcome, for your responses, they inspire me.

Technics in which I work called the multilayered relief, its feature to strengthen illusion of space. The technics is applied to creation of multiplane new relief compositions.

I prefer to work with a white tree, basically with a linden. For a sheeting I use antiseptics, a paint for toning and wax on the basis of beeswax.
More detailed description I shall try to publish in clauses on a site.

I think you already know, U...

Normal relief carving is basically structured from a central orthogonal perspective and the depth of the figure is in realistic proportion, as it would be "in the round", only not fully detached from the background.

Eugene's technique (correct me if I'm wrong, Eugene! Amazing work, by the way) is basically a textured painting where the point of perspective is elevated (like looking at a flat ground from a second storey balcony, for example), to increase the depth of vision.

I know this is clear as mud, I can draw sketches to illustrate...
