carving gouge specs
I want to get a #8 carving gouge that matches a 4mm circle radius or the nearest on the small side. I'm not sure the mm dimension in specs is the radius, I think it might be the sagita of the circle is that right? In which case I'll have to back calculate the radius from that.
And are incannel gouges specified the same way?

Here is a chart made up for the Pfiel gouges. Across the top is the sweep # and the degrees of the circle that gouge covers (#9 for example is a half-circle) If you go to column for sweep #8, then go down until you get to 4.1, that is the radius of the closest one to what you want, so a #8-8mm is close.
