    Wow ! what a surprise you've coloured it ! Most subtly too & all the better for it.
    Excellent , I've really enjoyed following this WIP. It's been one unexpected turn after another!
    This has worked out wonderfully.

    Ah right, they look like water based stains, from what I can make out . They look most appropriate & mellow.
    I've always resisted colouring some of my carvings because I've never been happy with tests. Thanks Mike
