mounting a carved bowtie
I don't know what to use to stick a thinly carved Huon Pine bowtie to a 'cloth' (normal) neckband. Any ideas. I've thought of velcro/hook & loop fastening, but don't know if Huan will take to the adhesive. screw fastening is out, so is a thin slot - as the carving is quite thin.

Could use the self adhesive velcro if you varnished a small section on the back of the carving first.
If only temporary, you could just use a craft glue for attaching wood to fabric. Even PVA may do for this.

Use a hot melt glue gun, should do the trick nicely.
