    shhh! SPIRIT,
the rough chisel look is to add to the mystique of the process,
(you'll notice that the chisel work was added after the machine shaping of the piece)
the bigger the gouge marks, the more confident the sculptor looks,
even though I still struggle with every piece I make,
it looks as though I know exactly what I'm doing.
    (don't tell anyone)

ps, I still spend more time with chisels than any other tools

what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

I love it. The rough chisel work transition to smooth provides a feel that I can not describe in words, Beautiful does not do justice to it.

Great work Undy. Love the smooth lines, but tension just under the surface. Very sweet

I actually liked it better when it was in its rough stage before the final smoothing. ..... but I must say that if I was lucky enough to have a partner with a body like that .......... well nuff said really.

Well I reckon it looks bloody terrific but what would I know ... I'm new to this carving jig.

A quick question mate ... what is the cutting disk on the grinder; I was down the old Bunnings recently and was trying to look at a disk that would be correct for my 100mm grinder but the people who knew were absent or not talking that day. Is yours a 100mm grinder also ... if so that would be my ball park I reckon.

    Thanks for any help ...

    TR.

    G'day Art,

I am well aware of the Arbortech mate - I'll buy one eventually ... is the blade from the Arbortech then?

Ok gotcha ... it's the industrial woodcarver blade .. This will be on my list on next things to buy.

    Cheers, TR.

    - I didn't really think you wouldn't know about the brand (the only one who was that stupid was me)- I use the pro-carver blade, wich is cheaper- but I dont use very hard wood. THE tool is the mini grinder, though - it's been a "before-and-after" case for me- absollutely love it
