Need advise on carvers vises
Am fairly new to carving. although I had been a carver in my childhood. Have any of you had any experience with carvers vises such as Jerry rig, veritas or The under the table one that Japan sells. They all seem to be quality tools. The jerry rig is considerably higher in price. Is it worth the difference. Any opinions would be most appreciated.

I made a couple of vises, one was with a trailer hitch ball and the other a pipe vise based on Lynn Diehls poor mans carving vise.....you can see both in my picturetrail site...
www.picturetrail.com/daviddunlap in addition to those I have a panavise that I like a lot for small to medium carvings. Dave
