    Smile A question for all

    If you had to name the 5 most important things a newbie
    to wood carving needed to learn/know what would they be?
    If you have more than 5 ,please list them.
    This would be for carving decoys, birds, small items, not
    the use of a chainsaw.

    Mate, I would have to say the following:

    Sharp tools,
    Good imagination,
    Big ole tin of elbow grease,
    Properly designed templates,
    Patience,
    Practicality of project and
    Good sense of humour (in case things go wrong).
