    Default First realistic carving

    Hi all,

    i had had a go at doing something that resembles are realistic bird this time lol. I'm enjoying the challenge and think I'll focus on this style of woodworking now as its actually really fun to do.

    Your bird design is clearly a "little" bird. Of our birds, I see Chickadee, immediately.
    Have you got many different kinds of woods to work with? Same bird in each wood for a flock?

    Cheers for the kind words guys, I appreciate it.

    yep, it's supposed to be a chickadee as its what I found on YouTube that I could follow lol. Yeah got a few different types of wood to play with but won't make a flock as I'm going to focus on owls now. This learning a new hobby is definately taking up all my time, I went fishing for the first time in about 5 months the other day and it didn't really bother me that much lol.
