    This still a work in progress and it has to have the stand attached also finished, but I hope you guys like it anyway

    Here is a fish I cut from a peice of Red Gum destined for the fire.
    I just saw a fish in the wood that need rescueing.

    Yer I really like your leather jacket ozwinner, So if you don't mind me asking what type of finish did you use, the color of your fish it looks great?

    Next project I would really like to have ago at is makeing a life size Wedgetailed Eagle, I think that would look awsome made from jarrah sleepers... Anyway i keep you guys informed on how it goes "A dissarster waiting to happen probably" But its worth a go

    Thanks mate, Glad you like it. Well that paticular fish has taken about 8 days,But they useally take 3 to 4 days to make, I lost my pressdrill chuck-key, and I sort of need that to drill the holes for the stands befor I can finish it. but When I do finally finish it, I will prolly give arbourtech oil and wax a go. I used to used plain vanish but people didn't really like the shiney plastic look.

    Thanks OZ yer the stand come from the off cut of the sleeper when I cut out the fish on the band saw "Waste nothing!"

    If anyone is interstead in buying the Marlin $300 aus ONO dimentions are 28"x12"x12". It look's really impressive on a mantel piece
