    Ok, new list,
    Cats (just the guts)
    bird poo
    iron fileings

The iron fileings will come from trying to cut the hand cuffs off from the chasing of cats and birds.

    Default The weather was sultry

I'll have to admit that I'm wondering if it's all worth while at the moment as I'm not really liking what I'm seeing

Added metallic gold oil paint to some of the hollows and here and there. Redrilled all the holes for the stitching as they'd become clogged up, this was expected and unavoidable but a drag to do Put a slight countersink in the holes at the back so the stitching doesn't rest against a sharp edge. Tied the large hearts to the front and did a test placement of the small hearts.

All ready for stitching now...so where's the thread

Take a few deep breths SW, don't get down, just have a break maybe. You have put so much work into it, it is truely amazing. Have a break and regroup. Go over everything you have done and then everything you would like to do. If it is still a big job then break it down into bite size pieces and then pick them off one at a time. I guess as it is not for any specific art show etc there is no time limit. Wait untill the mood strikes, don't push too hard mate. How are the birds and nest going??

Thanks for the good advice and encouragement Craw. Most of the birds and nests were given away for presents except one which still needs some more attention.

Tired of seeing it laying flat, I hung the second piece up and over the first piece while I'm waiting for the stitching thread It's starting to get damp in the tin shed overnight now, salt sure sucks up moisture.

Smile Scribbly notes from the new shed

Here's the new shed. 2.5 M x 5.5 M x high enough. Managed to fit a work bench, two tables, shelving and store for all the stuff I have to have and still have a clear wall, I need a clear wall.

Not much room to swing a cat but I can't complain, I like to work outside anyway after being couped up during the working week and there's plenty of flat area outside to setup my bush table.

Just a few more weekends to go to settle everything else in and then all hell's going to break loose

Looks like a very pleasant workshop to while away the hours. Must be the proportions it doesn't look as big as you said, must be like the Tardis to have all that stuff inside.

Ps did you have to soak the w/boards in salt and lemon juice to get them that colour??

I was thinking while packing everything in to the shed that I'm just replicating the cramped work areas I'm used to, I'm a bit que sera sera on that, it's gunna have to do. At least this time everything placed was planned around having a decent sized clear wall space, something at least for now seems important for what I'm working on and ideas for near future. You have a good eye Craw, when I found my tape measure the inside measures 2.9 M x 4.7 M.

Salt and lemon juice, now that's a new one pretty flimsy weatherboards really, just treated pine and not lined on the inside so at night when the lights on you can see light seeping through gaps, looks good, kind of. Also at night I've heard rain when there isn't rain...possums

Your not the only one tea lady..it's been torture...just a little more time and I'll be able to bed in for the winter. If you could only see, the vice on my bench is only just inside the left hand door, if I ever get back into planing and over shoot I'll be out the door and down two steps before I know it

I must admit to a little fussiness, some things did want to change ends of the shed and some also wanted to move sideways before being content...like organising a children's sleepover really Most of today was spent moving a garden in pots and putting them in place...and putting them in place , now you reckon I'm fussy the weeping maple is still giddy being round all points of the compass twice in one day I reckon

    Thumbs up

Haven't been in here for yonks! Amazing happenings Spring!!

The new shed looks suitably rustic and fit for the surroundings. I think it will be better for your state of mind to work in there.

As for the current work, I am amazed! I am struck by the photos you post! they are works of art in themselves!!

Indeed, it might lack space but has an abundance of country charm, a backyard in town can never match that. Congratulations.
