LOML and I went to this today met some great people from within and around the carving scene Sandra from Kiama & Frank, Arthur from Oyster Bay
N This mad Nzeelnd bloke Dave real nice fella considering he's a Kiwi to see some of his work on this forum is nothing compared to what he hasn't shown and for such a young fella too.
Thanks for the hospitality you lot hope to see you again next weekend also more woodchips flying then I hope and less chatter

Warning Rant
No wonder people get turned off doing stuff not only has NZcarver announced it here but also it is listed on The Carvers Web site as demo's each Saturday between 1.30 & 3pm.
On our arrival today the Curator of Fairfield Museum asked if we had seen the advertisments/announcments in either Sydney Morning Herald or the Local paper's regarding the exhibit and demonstrations. We had not . The Museum had gone to the trouble to have this done, only to be let down by the Carvers Groups themselves.
I wonder ow many woodies Magazines it was also in.
NzCarver you should be proud of yourself to have showed up firstly, then to attend those people who took the time to come see the display and demo's and were sadly disapointed through lack of Carvers.

We were there last Monday,Gallery was closed but we sneaked in the back door! Gallery people were excellent, as was the display! Pity we didn't get the time to pop in and meet the carvers. Great work!!
