Just in time for Valentine
I only got recently into wood carving and giving it a go. After a simple spoon and a small bowl I decided to try a love spoon for my wife.
This is my result:
The wood is campher laurel. I think the lines could have been a bit clearer and neater, but for my first one I am OK with it. At least it shows it was entirely done by hand [emoji6]

Very well done.
How long did it take to do, and what tools did you use?

It’s lovely, I’m sure a gift made from the heart will be well loved.
An that’s not a bad effort for was, that your first carving?.

It took me about 7 days with about 1 hour each day.
I mainly used this set of knife's and tiny chisel I made myself. The knife blades are from Beavercraft and the chisel I got from MCJing Tools.
And I also used the hook knife from this set, which was a Xmas present.
These, beside a coping saw and drill to cut the rough shape out. Plus sand paper...
I did a little carving before, but not like this. I made a few pendants for my niece. That's all.
