Default A moon sort of theme on the go.

This is carving from a fifty year seasoned white beech.(the one in the centre pic with the mug on top) I've gone galactic with this but its more orderly than the pics show - can't wait to get it finished but it requires slow and careful thinking due to the complexity.

Epic. Can't wait to see how it develops. Will the size do it justice, though? Wouldn't it be more suitable for the town square than for the mantelpiece?

There's no such thing as a town square in Nimbin - unless he's the real estate agent or cop. I did do some carving for poles in the street though. Being white beech it may become a water feature - the top where the mug sits is dished out now, so I may put a little pump in with a hose through the centre.

Can't see the concept yet. I'm slow... . Looking forward to more photos as you go.

Its evolving as it goes. I wanted to stick with the basic shape of the wood. I spent a year looking at the block of wood unable to make a move on it due to its complexity and beauty. I thought I'd stay with the complexity and see what happens, jusyt seeing new things as I go. But it has something to do with lunar stuff.

Some better pics, the flowers were my young daughter's addition.
