Some Walking Sticks
Here are some recently finished sticks.
This is a piece of Pussy Willow, nice timber for a stick, but a bit plain as it was. The idea of adorning with a Celtic knot was a follow-on from some other sticks I have done with etched ferrules with the same motif. The result is a bit on the ordinary side, but I like the effect, and being the first one , I learnt a great deal about how I should have gone about it. More will follow!
This stick had DUCK written all over it.
Maybe it said GOOSE?
Here are a couple more sticks I have just finished. The handles are a Huon/ Turpentine/ Huon sandwich and the sticks are Beech and Camphor Laurel. The ferrules are etched with Celtic Knots
