    Default Wax

Finishing things still isn't my forte, so Im yet to really get to grips with finishes. I've borrowed 2 to test and they seem pretty good in that they aren't glossy nor do they tint the wood noticeably. Pretty much the 2 things I want in a finish. Are there any considerations as far as longevity goes? It's for indoor work and pretty much just for keeping finger prints etc. off the wood.
    UV probably isn't a concern.

Someone also suggested clear boot polish...but it just seemed wrong. Any suggestions or considerations welcome.
    Gracias.

    Those I am testing:
Gilly Stephensons's Cabinet Makers Wax (so neutral as to almost be invisible)
Beckett's archival microcrystalline wax polish. (slightly warm tinge...just)

I think this is what you are looking for.
    TRADITIONAL WAX

No, no Neil. No need for a commission.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

Also like to add that a horse hair shoe brush or the like is a good thing to have to apply and buff wax with.

    Thanks for that.

Got some this morning. Pretty similar to Gilly Stephensons, but a hint less lustre and a lot less odor.
