Winter Horses-Finished.
Finished this frigid Native American up yesterday. Hopefully he's on his way to a nice warm Tipi and a big Turkey leg it being Thanksgiving. There are a few more photos of the piece on my blog at:

I use MDF or medium density fiberboard, in this case two 3/4" thicknesses glued together. I use a Kutzall to shape it and then lots of sanding to get it as smooth as possible. After a gazillion coats of primer, several coats of flat white and then a final coat of flat laquer. I raise the snow off the darker base by cutting a smaller disk of 1/4" plywood which I sand and paint flat black. That reveal really makes the snow stand out.
Thanks for your comment.

l knew you knew but in 50 years people are going to make big court cases out of that wood it's bad for you
its getting banned in a lot of places,,, the dust is a shocker if your doing gringing or sanding you would wont a full mask
if you just used knifes or chisels it wouldn't be as bad
mountain out of a mole hillsmile and the world will smile with you
