I like it undy.A great concept.

At first i thought that the feathers needed more detail in them, but they are surfboards, ain't they, with a wave curling at the top. Pretty smart.

You sholdn't give me this sort of ideas, mate-they make a bad day even worse -I have ehough "what if's" to deal with. I like your new work-strange as it may seem, the thing I look first at is the base-iI find it's a real pain in the @$$, and you've found a simple but nice solution here.(Right now I'm struggling to fit a stone from the local river as a base to a sculpture-Urghhhh)
It's a slow and painful process...the secret is, dont mind the pain.(Ian Norbury)

It's my favourite so far, I know your thoughts on the subject, that's cool, but if it were mine I'd colour her. Ever thought of doing a circus troupe?

Maybe your too concerned with getting things too anatomically correct?
Let light cast the shadows it's an expert at it No chuckn in the bin allowed here, improvise at all costs to keep her alive, do something off beat, you might find she starts singing again

now you know why I make so many torso's
my only suggest would be to make her out of plasticene first
and make all the mistakes there,
every piece I make still starts with plasticene (love the stuff)
its available in big blocks too

what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

this piece is going to the states , (the land of the culturally bereft)
I'm not sure they would understand the significance of Captain Goodvibes
influence as a 70s surfing icon (minor deity)

what if the hokey pokey is really what it's all about?

    Geeeze Undy!!
Turn my back for a day or two and look what you come up with!!
LOVE it! Just love the melding of the physical body, mind, (spirit), and ocean,-the curl of the wave appearing to be so anatomical , hand-like so that all become one. And the play of surf boards like chiefly feathers. Amazing.
