    Default WIP cedar carving ,finish?

Have started wrestling with an abstract cedar carving for a local show,
realised it has a surface area of about 3sq kms which I have to sand
I will sand the easy bits cos its a nice bit of wood , but I'm looking for alternatives for all the hard to get at bits' any suggests???

What if you used a combination of finishes, (1) fine sanded on one surface and (2) chiseled surface on another surface?

for all those hard to get at places in my carvings I use dental rasps that have been welded to a longer shaft and put them into the power tool, I think the best tool is patience, which, looking at your workshop behind your piece, you certainly have a lot of.

I'll give them both a try, by the way biggin, what type of dental rasps do you use ? are they like those small burrs , and what type of power tool do you fit them in?
