    Beautiful form.

Possibly, the Australians spend much time outdoors in their summer.
My winter (now) is my wood carving time.
Lots of snow all last night and now in a south wind but only -2C.
    Some drifts are 100cm.

Yes I am still carving, at the moment they are small pieces based on the contrast between curves and edges. My Mum is going blind so I thought pieces whose major focus was touch might be interesting, turns out they also look good. Will post some pics when I get a chance, currently putting up a pool.

I'm still carving almost daily just to stay ahead of the gallery demand, but its designs that I've posted here in the past so I don't keep posting photos of what is essentially the same stuff. I've got a few new pieces in the works though... will post when their done.

I only carve the Sunday roast. Most uninspiring!!!

    Two wonderful pieces IDEFIX>!!

The first is wonderfully intricate and sensuous, the second is very elegant. Love "em both.!!!!

    Nice one !
It looks very white on the picture, is it really white that much ? lovely anyway.

It reminds me some works of José Ballester, in a more aleatory way.
He's carver living not very far from my place. I saw his work recently but didn't met him; unfortunately i came to the exposition at lunch time

The wood is white white when it's still wet while carving.

He was born in Spain but lives in France for more than 40 years, in Villefranche-de-Rouergue. there's a biography somewhere on his blog.
I live 60km North-east from there, extreme north of the Aveyron.
I may come in Belgium sometime... there's a direct flight Rodez to Bruxelles, low cost !

Very inspired work there , IDEFIX! Nice to see someone 's still working . And very kind of you to ask about me - still alive & kicking , preparing an exhibition this summer , if new autorities (elections just passed here) don't change their mind about supporting sculptors...All this is not an excuse for being away from the forum for such a long time , I know...
It's a slow and painful process...the secret is, dont mind the pain.(Ian Norbury)
