Wooden Indian
This is the first chain saw carving that I have completed.
The indian is carved from a white pine log approximately 36" in diameter and 7' in height.
Took me most of the day to carve and paint, but it was a lot of fun.
Visit my web site index if you would like to look at more pictures of carved walking sticks or pictures of eastern Kentucky.

The high cheek bones and the hair make it happen.
Big enough to belong in a garden/outside. I like that, too.
The headband = I'd consider a more leather-like color.
Did you make much of a relief cut up the back to reduce drying cracks?

I must say, I envy you being able to lay hands on logs that size. Good on ya for having a go!
