That way, any of us with a dvd player could get the lot at once. I wouldn't mind being one to distribute them.

We could but you can see how confusing this thread is already. The DVD copy would only work foir those with a DVD burner so I think it's better to stick with the generic CD version. (I think that's right, or does a normal DVD player connected to the TV play wmv and avi files? I think not) Most people with DVD burners probably have broadband as well, so they would have them via download.

having said that, if anybody wants to distribute them on a DVD (in file form of course) then it would be an easy way of putting them on one disk. CD's hold about 650MB, DVD's about 4.5GB
If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Don't forget that, apart from some older CD players, different CD media don't pose problems.

AFAICT, there's still a lot of DVD players out there that'll play only DVD-R or DVD+R or DVD-RW and fall over when proffered other formats.

I know and I'm not disagreeing. You want to distribute 'em? Feel free!

As Gumby said, DVD's are great for moving bulk data from 'puta to 'puta, but if you want to watch 'em through a DVD/TV, forget it.

I'd really appreciate a copy if possible. I might then be able to create a single disk DVD version if that would be acceptable. In my day job it's sorta one of my tasks to make educational DVDs complete with menu etc. I'd be prepared to give it a go if anyone thinks it is a good idea. Cannot guarantee how long it would take (in between other tasks) and providing the original files will convert to an mpeg format. Can duplicate the CD's for whoever is next on the list no probs though.

    Cheers,

    Graeme C.

Graeme (Carson), your call on the DVD, mate, could be best though to wait to see what your recipient can take (CD or DVD) as not everyone has DVD capability.

    Default Codec Difficulties

    Hi All

My poor computer though a P4 still dwells in the land of win98 and had playing most of the videos on the CDs as WMP couldn't find the proper Codec to download..

The version of DivX on the CD is incompatible with 98 so consequently had beautiful Audio but no pic.. found time this arvo to go for a search and found a suitable version here http://www.divxmovies.com/codec/ now I am able to enjoy all the Vids.

So if anyone else has operating systems that belong in an ancient history museum hope this is of some help.

Barry White: I'm having a few other tech issues so now I know there is definately no probs with the cds will send you some disks when i can get them done at a mates place next week... sorry for the delay

    Andrew
