    Thumbs up

Zed, congratulations on the video, great work. Once again the bar has been raised. You forgot the warning not to put a magnet in each pocket .

Gumby, I went into the city this evening and my son used the net (i.e. - he paused azureus to max his downloads ), also, if multi IP is not turned on by the host then we D/L the same rate.

    Some reading.

    http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Good_settings

    http://www.azureuswiki.com/index.php/Ignore_Rules

Note: you only get to see some of the settings mentioned in the Good Settings table if you change to intermediate mode.

I have changed to intermediate & gone to options queue & made my Max Simultaneous downloads 2 & Max Active Torrents 6.

Currently I have downloads at around 22Kbps & uploads at around 11Kbps.
My ratio is in the red but when I have a few more of the popular ones downloaded that will turn around.

I'm on to one of the more popular files now, I have 7 seeds on that one file & it is hitting a download speed of 25Kbps on it own. I have 2 peers picking up the same file from me at the same time hitting a rate of around 7Kbps. While this is happening, I have another download running at about 11Kbps & 2 more uploads.

It is doing well considering that I'm am looking at it from about 80Kms away using Logmein at the same time.

I think I have it sorted now.
    Cliff.

Yes it does. I haven't tweaked anything on 3 computers and they all do it.

Think I'm doin' ok. Don't think it is an issue, but my connection also goes through an 802.11b wireless router, which could also be a choke point.

Zed - cheers mate - great video. Very informative.

Gumby gave me the source of the magnets www.aussiemagnets.com.au
I found these on the site - a bit longer than necessary, cost, around $11
    http://www.aussiemagnets.com.au/Merc...y_Code=Ferrite

My only question now is - do they come with a very flat side? You wouldn't want to have to flatten it yourself I'm guessing, or do you - scary sharp method?

The magnet idea came about in a thread last year.

    http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...cknesser+snipe

It's an interesting read, specially all the replies and different ways of going about things.

My magnets were straight. Or at least they looked straight so I've never checked them. I set the knives using them last year and haven't touched them since. I don't even know what snipe is

Stu, I bought 4 and probably on need 2. Want to deal ?

Well, the vids are getting more professional. The uncut version of the shop tour is now seeding.

Zeds vid was a beauty and well put together Loved the saftey sandals. they are nearly as good as mine. Only thing i wished you would have shown was how you set each of the 4 blades at TDC and how you lock in the cutter head block

I have downloaded Bartons Bedlam but when I open it in Media Player it says "error downloading codec"
    Is there an easy fix.

Also, my computer is ridiculously slow when bit torrent is running, so slow in fact that I only use the torrent when I don't want to do anything else on the computer.

I have a few other vids trying to download since last night but they are all at 0%, Stu's is the only one that worked.

I am on Optus Broad band.

BTW, I am a complete computer NUMPTY!!!!!

    Cheers, Jack.

    TDC ? eh ??

I dont lock in the cutter head block(If I did i'd just wedge it with some timber....) the friction of the magnets and knife tension holds it in place.... Havnt had an issue yet....

I'm currently downloading Zed's magnets video with azuwhatsit, and it is absolutely flying. Coming down at 80 - 90, and going up at about 20.

I had trouble with a couple of them as well, needed codecs to handle OGG and APE (whatever they are). I downloaded the STorm codec, and that fixed me up. Got it from http://www.softpedia.com/progDownloa...oad-20053.html

Normal disclaimer here... if it breaks anything on your pc, I'm not accountable.

ogg is another music format, like mp3. No idea what APE is, ask Zed.
