A new video has gone up. This one a basic Crossscut sled demo.
If you have any comments, please post them here and not on the video links thread:
If you want a peek, it' here:

You blokes have done a major service to the woodworking community worldwide. Well done.
What's the chance of someone seeding the infamous Gumby Interlude again. I think it's the only one I've missed.
Even though I periodically leave all the torrents which haven't reached a share ratio of over one open they seem to be dead in the water.
Is a share ratio overall of 1.442 OK?
Afraid my 3 Gig cap can't really handle anything better.
Thanks again for great info and dam good laughs.Cheers
Brian

Ask and you shall receive
I'm seeding it again.
An International star is born. Maybe Kylie will get to see it one day.
The share ratio is good as long as it's over 1, which it is. Don't blow your bandwidth on them but we appreciate the help in seeding when you can.
Edit 5 minutes later:
Funny thing these torrents. Even though it says my NAT is firewalled, it's sending to you at around 12 kb/sec and did the whole thing in about 5 minutes. Turn the volume up when you watch it - then send it to the recycle bin.If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Thanks Gumby.
Powerfull rendition - must have strained your vocal cords though.
Explains why the sound on the crosscut sled vid seemed a bit "tinny" - and I had thought it was something to do with the sync problem.
When I try that in the shower the dogs run for cover.
They didn't even leave the room when I played yours full tilt.
Time they remembered who pays for their food and supplies the shed that enables them to be "shed dogs".
Keep up the good work.Cheers
Brian

Gumby. Here's a screenshot of Azureus in action. Have a look for men d give me some clues on how to get green smilies happening. Theres' red everywhere and some yellow but the crosscut jig is downloading at around 40kb which is pretty good I think. No matter what I do I can't get the seeding thing happening and I want to do my bit in sharing this stuff around.
If you never made a mistake, you never made anything!

Nar, joking... read the whole of this thread again now that you have had a go at it, you will find a clue in there somewhere, I figured it out after about 57 hours of FAQ'n around.Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

The crosscut vid is going fine, in fact faster than most who download it. Why the Dust collector vid is stlaed is a mystery. It can't be your settings because the other one is fine.
I'd be interested to see the screen a bit further across where the tracker column shows if it's checking or it's OK.
The NAT is showing as firewalled but as I said, mine does that a lot too and still works. The DHT however, shouldn't be firewalled. make sure all your firewalls are off and check the Windows firewall as well. If you have a router, it could be in there too. Once it starts, turn the firewalls back on, one at a time and see if you can spot the one blocking the program. (But why one file is OK is confusing me. )
The seeding one looks OK. It's just not uploading because nobody is asking for that particular video right now. There are no peers. If you see peers in brackets, that tells you how many are online. The peer numbers before the brackets are those who are attached to you. You may find that not all who are online are attached to you. You can have 12 seeds for a file, for example, and a peer comes online and downloads from 3 or 4 only. That's common.
Try removing the completed file when it's done and do another one.If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Hey Gumby, you seem to be on top of the azareus thing, is the seeding and peers info above the same if you're uploading a file to someone ?
And why should files have a status of seeding when others are queued ?
For the mini cyclone I have 0(6) Seeds, 1(1) Peers, what does that mean. One user is uploading the file and I'm the only peer available ? Whoever it is, its gonna take a while, their speed varies between 1.6 and 6.4kb/s LOL.
I'm off to watch Stargate, cyas
Thanks

Just in case others were following this thread. I think Shedhand's problem stems from the fact that he wasn't renaming the downloaded torrent files by deleting the txt extension. I think he's had windows explorer set to hide the file extensions for known file types and so it wasn't showing the txt extension. That's why they weren't going. (at least i think that's why, I've sent him a PM to fix this and so we'll see if it's right)
The numbers in brackets are seeds or peers online. The number before the bracket is the number actually attached to you. When uploading to someone, you won't see any other seeds attached but online seeds will show in brackets. Azureus is set to disconnect other seeds when it's seeding. This can be changed in the options but is better left alone.
Not sure about that one. It happens on mine too.
It means there are 6 seeds available for distributing the file (6 full copies) but none are connected to you. As I said above, that is normal.
It also shows 1 peer online (somebody who is downloading) and that peer is connected to you. The same peer is probably connected to a few other seeds as well so may be getting more of the file from them. Therefore, the time could be much shorter than you think.
If you double click on the file in Azureus, you bring up a new details box. Then click on the peers tab and click once on the file. It brings up a window showing how much of the file is available and what parts are being downloaded. There's a menu down the bottom which explains it. The numbers in each box indicate the number of online copies of that particular portion of the file which are available. If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

kewl, thanks for that
I'll try double clicking the file and see what I get
looks like i've uploaded just under 1Gb of forum files, neat.
somethings working. i have a healthy limit and adsl2 so the size isn't a concern for me.
you'll be pleased to note Gumby I have a 6.8 ratio for the interlude.wmv file - just doing my bit to further artistic talent hee hee hee
cheers
