Default Aussie wood samples needed in USA

    G'Day Mates,

I am looking for veneer wood samples of only domestic Australian woods.
I would appreciate if any of you know where I may purchase them.

Please post it here, and also e-mail me [email protected]

    Thanking you in advance.

Mac is looking for either veneers or small solid wood samples to be shipped to USA they are needed for use in finishing articles he writes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. He is happy to pay for them, but I reckon having your wood as the star in a finishing article by Mac could almost be payment enough, especially if you get a mention as donated by or supplied by, etc.

I'm sure he would be only too happy to do that if space allows.

Or you could just charge him a heap of money and retire to Surfers Paradise and look at your collections on the soft white sandy beach, etc, etc.

A little help would be fantastic.

    Cheers - Neil

PS Might be able to find a couple of little pieces of genuine green herringbone figured Lignum Vitae. - Left overs from the making of the bowling balls for Sovereign Hill. Think I have a couple of small bits left. Maybe enough to make a Robins egg. Possibly a couple of other rare bits. Cedar of Lebanon, Manchurian Pear, Osage Orange. Don't get me wrong I'm not offering up any bits of wood because I'm a nice bloke... Hell no they're offered purely as bribes.

BUT NEIL!!! Mac wants ONLY Aussie timbers and your offerin him stuff he can get himself

He wants OUR rare as hens teeth expensive as Bill Gates's mansion timbers... I got a few odd bits of Jarrah layin about he can have for those prices... mmm reckon I can rustle up a few slices of sheoak (before Ramps sees this and takes me thunder cause hes got more than me ) some silky oak a bit of silky oak maybe a bit of swamp gum... what else?

Okay better wait up a bit till ol Mac comes back with his CC numbers and access codes no seriously... if I nominate a figure times it by 100 double it and then add three zeros before the decimal point that should about cover me expenses (well someones gotta pay me to walk to the shed drag em out cut em up put em in a baggie then wander down the post office and toss em into one of their bags and then send em to him... think of the strain man!! ) and the postage?

Okay Mac over to you buddy
