    Default Eucalipt Burl (Box Making)

This eucalyptus burl measures 190 x +190 by +9mm thick
it has been cured/dried by soaking in metho for 24hours and left to dry for 2 weeks now
Small amount of cupping (2mm) ,and can see light through the opened up burl eyes

2nd pic has been quickly dipped in metho to show glossed colour

Would like to swap for 4 nice timbered pen blanks
how come a 10mm peg dont fit in a 10mm hole

sawdust sniffer, heres afew off the top of my pile, from left to right, Qld balckwood(acacia melanoxlyn) 2 red cedar samples form different sources (toona ciliata) and last the sydeny blue gum_euc.saligna) root stock.

The bluegum is figured but a bit gnarly, some borer holes etc so i can find a cleaner bit if u need, the cedars are nice, one grainer than the other, the blackwood is light and strong...nice stuff..

the sizes are approx 20cm long by about 15-20 deep. a chunky pen blank each
there 3-4 of each type of wood.

LMK if these suit u or if i should cut some other bits for yr trade...
