Hi All,

I have a few old (10 year old according to previous owner) southern Silky oak wood for trade or swap.

I bought the whole lot (9 pieces) from a bloke who told me it was Northern Silky, and it turns out to be southern Silky (Grevillia Robusta)

Either way, I have had a bit of fun out of it and made a few things, so seeing if anyone is out there who may be interested in a trade.

Note, It is old wood and hasn't been sealed, so it does have a few cracks in it, Once you get down in the wood they seem to go…..

Here are a few pics of what it looks like: The First, was once I took the bark off and put it on the lathe, Second is after cutting it down and third is after a sand and polish up with Shellawax….it's not a bad wood, but I am just running out of stuff and I am not a huge fan of the grey in the wood.

Tim
