HI Andrea
Welcome to the club
Whilst waiting for them to decide what to do about my hips, back and shoulder I am surviving on Prednisone injections.
Having a CT Scan of my back tomorrow.

I do tai chi, as all my friends are sick of me saying. Keeps the arthritis in my neck under control. And everything else strung together pretty well. So much so that every now and then I think I don't need to do it and I stop for a while and realize it is helping a lot.

No...LOL....but its a bit hard to write about your woodwork if you're not doing any!
Can't walk or stand without the aid of two sticks, and unlike you Aussies, my shed is freezing cold in the winter, but it is also way down the back of the section, so a bit inaccessible.

Hi, needs sandin here - i've been a member for a while but being an absolute beginner I've never had much to say although I realize now that there may just be a few women out there who are similar. I'm from Queensland but am moving down to Melbourne in a couple of months, where, alas, I won't have a shed until our budget allows it (my partner is so great - she understands that it is the first priority).
It's going to be strange not having a space where I have all my favourite inanimate loves, but it is only temporary. Now I guess I'll have to start researching sheds suppliers in Victoria. Anyone have any input? We will be in Dingley Village.
I too have no problem hanging out with the guys, I find that they are friendly, caring, and supportive of forum members male or female and many of them seem to have quite a wicked sense of humour which really appeals to me. I guess I see woodworkers as a genderless species.
Anyway that's me - I'm fairly uncomplicated, but hasten to say that I love this forum and tend to check it out almost daily.
regards
needs sandin

Hi... still here...just not in contact...
Calling back in again... winter months do curtail the activity in workshop... I've other life interests... so between racing Avon boats... hitching caravan on & taking off for short breaks down south... & the chilly weather thats been keeping me indoors.... hence, a quiet few months. Just to keep my hand in... I've been rebuilding son's kitchen.... all solid wood from my stash....So yes, still doing the odd bit of woodwork... Haven't heard much from the WA group... but would love to catch up with them... think I would have missed a few barbaques which I will be disappointed for if I did ... cheers everyone.... keep safe & stay well....OH>>>> looky looky looky... birthday presents from son... Aren't I lucky. Yep, son & mum both "DeWalt Deity's" Kerry
Don't think you're playing it safe by walking in the middle of the road.....that's the surest way to get hit by traffic coming from both ways!
I'm passionate about woodwork.......making Sawdust again & loving it!

I used to work with a bloke whose wife would dream up projects for him. If he didn't have the appropriate tools for the job, in her estimation, they would arrive for his birthday, Christmas or indeed at any other time, so excuses were not an option.
It looks like there is a little role reversal in your case .
Kitchen is looking good.

Been busy learning how to use the CNC machine.
Made a couple of signs.
Unfortunately I seem to be so busy making models I miss out on shed time.
Ordered some sheets of ply today so I/we can finish the kitchen. No more weetbix for me, from now on it is ply
My tablesaw can't handle full sheets so my friend, the local cabinetmaker, offered to cut them down for me. Will be easier to cart home as well.
Got my hearing aids today.
Never knew the hard drive in my computers were that noisy and my chair and my shoes are squeekyEvery day is better than yesterday
Cheers
