Easy one Steph... hes a yank ergo not a bloke but a pal etc to be a bloke he has to have been Aussie born as a yank he has to be an honorary bloke until he's proven himself to be a bloke then we as true Aussie blokes can honor him by dropping the honorary bloke status... sadly Bob hasnt yet attained legendary status either in his own mind or in someone elses so he remains an honorary bloke... Bobs a nice honorary bloke hes just got a fair way to go before he becomes a bloke one day with due diligence and continued dedication to things bloke he will join us... there is of course always going to be that sad state of affairs thet Bob has that will keep him an honorary bloke... that issue of him being in the states... but well as he will attest quite humbly one cant help the geographical location of ones birth and I suppose that his situation at present does not lend itself to him being able to come down and reside in the land of true blokeiness... Australia... sadly that will mean he will simply have to remain an honorary bloke.

But still and all... for all his unblokiness he's a nice sorta honarary bloke such that we like to keep him around you know?... as well as that if Bob and all the other honorary blokes from non bloke countries werent encouraged to remain who would we have around to take the phiss out of to have a lend of in the time honored Aussie way?... yes yes my dear of course theres always yous shielas but well a bloke sometimes likes to have the opportunity to take the mickey out of a yank its a part of tradition you know... so we keep Bob around and let him remain an honorary bloke

But hey!! Were an equal opportunity crowd here... never say we discriminate!! We are just as happy to take the phiss or have a lend of you shielas ANYTIME cause thats a tradition to!!... and hey we still wubs yer!

    Default Of course I did!

Ok .....sorry skipped over some of your story's Dingo...will return & read later...but answering the first question...

    YES
    YES
    YES

I shared "our shed" we loved working together....had our own projects...had projects we did together....had a wonderful working relationship....each had our own "sander" that was taboo to touch... worked both ways I didn't like his sander (still dont) and don't know what to do with it now! ...had our own hammers, routers & tape measures....everything else we really shared....had two drop saw's...even in the end had two brad-guns.....the duality of most stuff came from improving tool quality.

Guess most people would sell off what they don't want but with two in the shed it just came in handy...waiting for someone to finish on a specific tool wasn't a problem...usually your partner would have something they needed sanded or stained you could help them on, quite surprising most of the time it's helpful for gluing large pieces to have someone else there and you get such a boost seeing each other projects coming along...Ed didn't even mind when I showed him an easier way to do something....& I was never more thrilled when he brought home new tools or more wood...yes he had open slather at the Woodshow's or any tool shop...."Buy what ever you want my love" ....you woodworking boy's want true happiness....find a "wood-lady"....your dreams will come true!!!!!

    Oh......

    BUT.....
    Passionate hate....

    "Darling what's the time...I'm a little peckish....

for the love of God...I wish he was here with me now...
but if you share the shed...you should share the kitchen!!!!!!!!

a few photo's of the units I finished this week...

The only reason a woman should be in my shed is to:
    A; bring me a cuuppa
B; bring me the cake to go with the cuppa
C; to tell me my mistress is on the phone

    Stirrer.

PS. Ding.... Kookas & Joeys don't mix, I doubt you'll find them both living in the same shed.
    Cliff.

Well Cliff... never one to hide from a challenge... my shed has taken you up on this one for not only is my shed a summer home to a couple of wonderfully LARGE joe blakes but has now got resident birds through the winter!!... now a feral cat tried to take up residence in there the other week but rapidly found what it felt like to have a 22 bullet fair up the clacker and hasnt been seen since... I dont like my chances of getting a resident koala mate as I havent seen any around here... not saying there arent any just that if theyre here I aint seen them... kookaburras on the other hand we have a mated couple living in the willow near the creek and a young fletchling (I think thats what theyre called??) has recently appeared on the scene trying out its wings... but they refuse to go near the shed... which is a good thing

There is another occasional resident to the shed of late... the neighbors dog has taken to wandering over during the night and snoring through till about 8 in the morning at which time as I open the rolladoor he sorta glares up at me and then wanders home... Ive spoken to the neighbor about it and he reckoned he had been wondering what the dog had been upto at night he would let him out to do his business and leave the door ajar for him but was finding that the dog wouldnt return till after he heard my shed door open up... didnt associate the dog with the shed... we know full well how the buggar gets in there the doorways still havent been finished and the back one has a bit of a gap between the wall and the door that I really must put a sheet up against... and hes been slipping in there and sleeping the night on top of the rag bag that resides on top of the large scrap bin

Soooo I was thinking of building a bird house (apiary?) next to the shed but think I will just wait till I get the new larger shed and this one becomes the timber storage then I will just turn this shed into a timber storage come bird house eh? well for the winter months cause in the summer the joe blakes move back in

aah tis fine to live in the bush isnt it!!

Well, it is, even though we had our first snake inside our abode yesterday, only a tree snake tho.

Went outside in the morning yesterday and found this fella making himself comfortable on the bed I made my son (it is finally finished and ready to go yay!) The bird is a King Parrot and it is a male. So I really do share my workshop with more than one male!
