Default Where to get 000 steel wool ?

I bought some steel wool from a local hardware store. It came in two bags, fine and coarse. Using the fine wool to rub Wattyl Teak Oil into timber, I was left with steel wool fibres all over the workpiece.

Can anyone please advise where I might get decent 000 steel wool?
    regards,

Bunnings have it or any decent paint store should have it.

    Default Found It !!

Thanks Chesand. Sure enough it was in the paint section of Bunnies, aisle 15 next to the sandpaper. Brand Sifa, grade 0000, cost $7 for a box, containing one large roll of very fine steel wool. Did the job perfectly this time.

    Default steel wool

Agree with Dengue - go forthe 4X - it is not cheap but it is available from Bunnings or online. Drillit.

Your's came in a box Dengue ? I feel ripped off.
My local Bunnies sold me 100gms (about the size of a toilet roll) in a plastic baggie. Under $5 I think.

They had the plastic bagged ones too, but I couldn't see the #0000 grading on them anywhere. They were in a large bin at the bottom of the shelf, and I didn't like crawling around on hand and knees trying to sort them out. The box packaged ones were clearly visible

How can you do that? Fine SW is so fragile. I'd cut the fibers with coarse/flat steel wool and rub the finish in with canvas to be kind to the wood.
