Does a 12" Lazy Susan need dowels
I have a couple of blanks that i want to put together for a 12" Lazy Susan would regular carpenters glue work fine or would i be better off using dowels.

You should be right with just glue for one of that small a diameter.
Mine are usually twice that; if I make them from solid timber I usually biscuit the pieces but only to help with alignment. I also make octagonal ones with an outer edge of one timber and a centre panel form a slightly contrasting one. The frames are biscuit jointed for strength but the panels just have biscuits for alignment, I don't use glue.
Personally I don't like dowels very much; I find them too fiddly to get in the right place a lot of the time.
